The total cost to become a Signs of the Times Consultant is
$300.00.
This one time fee includes a Start-up kit that will contain everything you will need for you first party/workshop.

Here’s what the Start-up Kit includes:

14 boards: (a value of $44.80)

7 4 x 24 boards (a wholesale value of $20.65/retail value of $112.00)
7 6 x 24 boards (a wholesale value of $24.14/retail value of $126.00)

These solid pine boards are pre-cut and routed by our product Specialists (okay, our husbands). They also do an initial sanding (that basically means the clients who are perfectionists may want to sand their boards again). Our Product Specialists’ assistants (Dot and Pat) inspect each board for quality. If there are any flaws then we fill them in with this cool fake wood stuff!

7 Stencils (a value of $70)

We send you seven of the most popular stencils. We are pretty proud of our stencils. They are unique! That’s why people will come to your sign party/workshop. They will want to use your “really cool” stencils. Don’t lend them out or sell them to your friends. If you take care of them they will last a very long time. How long? It’s top secret but we will tell you when you sign up!

1 Signs of the Times Apron (a value of $10)

We buy these in bulk and have them custom embroidered. You’ll want at least 10 of these eventually. Most ladies don’t come prepared to paint and really, do you want your friends to be upset cuz they spilled paint on their new blue jeans???? The aprons are good quality, washable and you don’t have to iron them (HOORAY!). So plan on budgeting for them as soon as you can!

We really want to promote the business for everyone…so we are insisting that everyone use the company name as much as possible. This stuff will be sold to you at the same cost we get it for…which is as inexpensive as possible (Cuz, hey, we have to use them too!). We include these to help you to get started.

50 2” Saw tooth Hangers (a value of $10)

Believe it or not these little boogers took us forever to find at a reasonable price. Everyone wants an arm and a leg for them (okay, so we are exaggerating a tiny bit!). We think these are the easiest to attach, which you will appreciate after you’ve attached 50 or 60 of them!

10 Foam Brushes (a value of $2.75)

You’ll be getting five 2” brushes and five 3” brushes. They are a good quality brush that lasts a long time if you treat them “vewy, vewy nicely”. Seriously, they have wood handles and we will give you some neat tricks to help you get full use of them.

Misc Supplies: (a value of $20.50)

10 sponges for stenciling
1 roll of tape
6 paint containers
1 sheet of sandpaper

These are supplies that we honestly buy at Wal-Mart or some other department store. We haven’t been able to find a bulk supplier for these items yet…BUT we are working on it! We’ll give you some hints on what brands work best, but again, that information we will share AFTER you sign up (company secrets; you understand).

And when the 14 boards are sold you will make $238.00

The stencils will last a long time and can be used over and over again if properly taken care of.
